COMPENSATION PACKAGES FOR CANCELLED CRUISES BY MSC CRUISES
Under given circumstances, we understand that there are restrictions for both Australian and New Zealand guests on international travel, but we want you to know that we're in the process of preparing our ships to ensure that guests will be able to sail with the utmost confidence as soon we can welcome your customers onboard again.
Here is below all the information regarding how to manage the FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT for all cancelled sailings by MSC.
All Future Cruise Credit amounts will be sent to travel agents only. This allows you to advise your clients of the value of their credit amount and ensure they book their future cruise with you.
For all cancelled cruises due to Covid-19 pandemic, MSC Cruises will provide travel agencies with:
1) A future cruise credit equal to the value of the amount paid to MSC Cruises for the cancelled cruise, to be redeemed according to the Terms and Conditions detailed in your clients’ FCC.
A Ship board credit* based on the original cruise length which was cancelled:
€/USD* 100 per cabin for cancelled cruises up to 6 nights;
€/USD* 200 per cabin for cancelled cruises of 7 nights up to 20 nights;
€/USD* 400 per stateroom for Positioning cruises of 21 nights or.
Guests booked in single cabins will receive 50% of the standard on-board credit mentioned above, based on the length of their cruise.
South-African cruises**: USD 50 per stateroom independently from the cruise length;
If your clients are entitled to any different compensation package related to their cancelled cruise, you will be informed directly by our Contact Centre.
*Euro and USD: the currency indicated here refers to the currency used onboard in the different areas of the world. Mediterranean, Northern Europe, West Indies, Arabian Peninsula cruises apply Euro, instead South Africa, South America and Caribbean cruises apply USD.
**South-Africa cruises: All FCCs issued for cancelled South-African cruises can only be used for a future cruise in this same area.

Action Required
1. DO NOT cancel the original booking (doing so will activate our normal cancellation policy).
2. Advise your clients of the FCC amount that includes your agent commission, to give them the full value of their Future Cruise Credit. You are required to communicate this to your guests in your chosen form of communication, e.g. letter, email. Check below Offer Tool Kit for a sample.
3. Fill in the
Future Cruise Credit Form here. The initial booking number will be needed, as well as the new cruise date. No need to call us, the form will be automatically sent to us. Our Reservations Team will proceed with your clients’ future cruise request and get in touch with you for the next steps.
4. Groups travel partners will be contacted by our internal department and receive a tailor-made policy
5. We will be in touch with travel agents affected by FLY LAND CRUISE packages for a tailor-made policy
