Our speciality restaurants offer a variety of ways to enrich the cruise with memorable dining experiences. It is possible to choose from sophisticated sushi and other oriental favourites as well as Tex-Mex and Steak House and explore fine Mediterranean fusion cuisine,  authentic Neapolitan Pizza and a range of traditional Italian food sensations in the Eataly restaurants on board.

Eataly restaurants

MSC Cruises has a partnership with Eataly, the Italian brand which sources high quality food from small producers, offering tasty, nutritious food. In all Eataly Restaurants as well as in wine bars and main restaurants across the fleet, it is possible to enjoy additive free wines from Vino Libero, and a range of alcohol-free drinks sourced from the Slow Food Presidia in all bars. There are four distinct restaurant proposals featuring dishes made with Slow Food Presidia products.

• Ristorante Eataly (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Preziosa): serves simple, top quality dishes in a relaxed, atmosphere. This restaurant mirrors Eataly’s original concept of a space where it is possible to eat, buy and learn about the finest Italian food.
• Eataly Steakhouse (MSC Divina) features selected cuts of Angus beef and Piedmontese beef.
• Eataly Market (MSC, Meraviglia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina): it’s an easy, safe & tasty shopping: Easy because it has high quality products, selected and offered at an affordable price; Safe because all the products have been selected with the assistance of Slow Food;
• Ristorante Italia (MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina): a 24-seat restaurant that offers the best of Eataly, serving top Italian ingredients expertly combined by the Eataly and MSC chefs.
• Eataly Pizzeria (MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina): a pizzeria in the finest Neapolitan tradition. The secret is in the high-quality, authentic ingredients used and the slow-rising natural sourdough.


Other speciality restaurants
• Tex-Mex & Steak House: authentic “wild west”cooking and atmosphere is provided at the El Sombrero (MSC Fantasia) and Santa Fe (MSC Splendida) restaurants, offering Mexican dishes and steakhouse specialities.
• Asian Fusion: the Shanghai (MSC Orchestra), and Oriental Plaza (MSC Magnifica) restaurants offer an authentic oriental experience, serving a variety of Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
• Mediterranean Fusion: the Galaxy panoramic restaurant (MSC Preziosa and MSC Divina) provides a great mix of Mediterranean fusion cuisine, live music and spectacular views as well as a luxurious, leisurely brunch to pamper the whole family.
• Japanese: The Kaito Sushi Bar (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside, MSC Poesia, MSC Musica and MSC Lirica), ranked by the Berlitz guide as “the best sushi at sea”, serves a rich selection of sushi, sashimi, maki and tempura, all created by expert chefs. The Teppanyaki (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside) features demo cooking show tables and cooking in view to enjoy traditional Teppanyaki specialties while watching the chefs in action.
• Sports Bar: (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside, MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina, MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia) serves authentic American-style burgers and finger food in a lively, sporty atmosphere with games aired on large-screen TVs.
• Fish Restaurant: (MSC Seaside) delicious fish specialities while enjoying the exceptional panoramic view, or watching the action in the kitchen through a glass wall.
• Butcher's Cut Steak House: (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside) This is the place to tuck into classic steakhouse specialities while admiring the panoramic ocean views.

Dining reservations at speciality restaurants (where available) may be made in the venue or by simply dialing the reservation number indicated in the Daily Programme.

Book in advance
We offer various Speciality Dining Packages allowing guests to enjoy special gourmet treats in our speciality restaurants, as well as a range of other great-value Food & Beverage packages.

Special diets
Most special diets can be catered for on board if requested when booking the cruise.
Kosher meals (pre-packaged) and Halal products (beef, lamb and poultry) are available if requested at least two months before departure.

MSC Cruises is certified by Bureau Veritas to provide gluten-free menus worldwide (food code: 20 ppm) in the main restaurants of MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina, MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia, MSC Magnifica, MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica. 

We work closely with the Associazione Italiana Celiachia (Italian Celiac Association) for these ships cruising in the Mediterranean and in Northern Europe. On MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera and MSC Lirica, it is possible to find pre-packaged gluten-free products such as snacks, biscuits, croissants, sponge cakes and muffins.
Once MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview are launched, we will complete the certification process with Bureau Veritas that will allow us to offer gluten-free menus on these ships as well. The process is expected to be completed within 1 month after the launch of the ships, so please check availability of gluten-free menus at the time of booking.
